25% through my second year here

it’s time to restart.

The old desertstars blog didn’t have much of a focus. Sometimes I used it to share cool links, sometimes I used it as a way to update people who want to know what I’m up to, sometimes I used it as an extension of Facebook, sometimes I used it to process things happening in my world. I think that’s because when I started this, I was struggling to find out who I was and what I knew. 

But after a 1.5 years of living and learning in an urban desert, I’m coming closer to knowing. I know that I struggle to make the polarized ends of science and art meet, both in my own imagination and in the world around me. I know that I learn so much every day here, about everything under (and beyond) the sun, that my biggest challenge is to process and remember it all. So from now on, this tumblog will function as a place to record and share everything and anything that I’m learning: life and art and God and science and love and music and language and myself and others and communication and imaging and anything is fair game.

Be confused, be excited, be amazed. I am, daily.
